       Life Care Planner     Legal Nurse Consultant

Carol Janse, CEO of Janse Consulting, is a Nurse Life Care Planner and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.  Her expertise consists of:  Spinal Cord and Multiple Trauma Injuries, Traumatic Brain Injury, CRPS/ Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, Personal Injury/Falls, MVAs, Developmentally Disabled/ Cerebral Palsy, Elder Abuse and Critique LCP Renal Failure, Cardiology/Telemetry, Amb Surgery, Psych, and long term acute care-Gerio Psych. 

Mrs. Janse has 25 years of clinical and administrative hospital experience and is masters prepared with an MPH, specializing in Health Education and Program Planning.  She has a strong foundation in research and nursing which supports her judgment and ability to serve the needs of her clients.  Her goal is to provide every client with a thorough and diligent review of their case. 

 Life Care Planners:

  • Collect subjective and objective data during a comprehensive home visit assessment.
  • Write a plan for catastrophic injuries-lifetime needs & goods.
  • Write a plan for any injury and for any duration.
  • Consult with members of the medical team for on-going care.
  • Perform in-depth literature research that fosters a strong foundation for a detailed life care plan.

 Legal Nurse Consultants:

  • Review and analyze medical records for deviations from standards of care.
  • QME attendance – verbal or written reports.
  • Develop deposition question.
  • Act as an expert witness supporting nursing standards of care.
  • Prepare reports summarizing medical records & chronology of events.

A Nurse Life Care Plan is a tool used to estimate and project medical and non-medical needs & costs for a person with a catastrophic injury which might include: Burns, Spinal Cord and Traumatic Brain Injuries, Cerebral Palsy, Chronic Pain and Spasticity.
